Bradd L. Milove

MANAGING PARTNER,
ATTORNEY AT LAW

Over his 39 years of practice, Bradd L. Milove has earned a reputation for being one of the nation's leading securities and investments attorneys — bringing justice to hundreds in cases involving investment fraud and securities misconduct. He has represented U.S. based and international investors in Federal and State Superior Court arbitration, mediation, and Class Action cases, trying cases before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS), the Pacific Stock Exchange (PSE), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); and the American Arbitration Association (AAA). His track record has garnered recognition in financial publications such as Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Bond Buyer, the San Diego Union Tribune, the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Times, the San Diego Reader, the La Jolla Light, the Del Mar Times, the Rancho Sante Fe Review and other publications in Texas, Florida, and Illinois.

Further to his securities & investments work, Bradd has successfully represented individuals and entities having suffered injury and losses due to negligence and wrongdoings in an array of diverse business and personal matters, including business litigation, construction litigation, trust & estate contests, personal injury claims and more. His commitment to his clients and passion for justice has made him a trusted ally for individuals and businesses alike through their times of need.

Bradd holds a Bachelors of Science in Finance and French from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. He studied abroad at Ecole Superieure de Commerce (in Rouen, France), the University of Salzburg (in Austria) and held an internship with J.C. Goldsmith et Associes (in Paris, France) where he garnered a deep understanding of international law and business. During law school Bradd worked on high stakes national securities fraud class actions pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California against some of the nation’s largest firms. After graduating from Cal Western in 1984 Mr. Milove served as a prosecutor and trial attorney in the Criminal Division of the San Diego City Attorney’s office.

Bradd’s long law career is a natural extension of his early family life and formal education in Connecticut. The son of a stockbroker, Bradd observed first-hand the effects of changing economies and pressures exerted by Wall Street on stockbrokers to generate fees that lead to exaggerated industry profits and the rampant abuse of investors. Bradd’s career is motivated in large part by society’s need to protect the investing public from the fraud, overreaching and neglect of the powerful securities industry.

In 1986, Mr. Milove became a founding partner of Miller & Milove, a civil litigation law firm focusing on business, personal injury, construction and securities law. From 1993 to 2005 Bradd served as the managing partner of San Diego based Miller, Milove & Kob. During this time, Mr. Milove’s law firm carried the highest professional ratings based on peer review of Legal Skills and Ethical Standards, as reported by Martindale Hubbell – the premier national publisher of attorney ratings. During the mid-1990s Mr. Milove became the youngest attorney to ever serve as a Securities and Commercial Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Cases handled by Mr. Milove throughout the years have required the analysis of a broad range of business matters and unlawful conduct involving investments, real estate private placements, 1031 exchange/TIC losses, life insurance policies and annuities, securities accounts, financial mismanagement of retirement accounts, bonds and exotic credit instruments, unsuitable trading, options, derivatives, excessive margin trading schemes, annuities, commodities, Fiduciary fraud, Elder Abuse, real estate development disputes, various forms of fraudulent investment contracts, oil and gas deals, limited partnerships, Initial Public Offerings, start-ups and a multitude of schemes that were designed to take advantage business people and investors.

Bradd has been a long time volunteer, giving back to the community of San Diego. For many years he was a coach for youth soccer, basketball and baseball coach, and a supporter of various classical and modern performing arts organizations. He is a founding member of Band Together San Diego (“Musicians helping San Diego families.”) and has supported special needs individuals, raising money for Alzheimer’s and spinal injury research and related family and victim assistance.
